THE MENISCAL INTERVENTION

The intervention takes place meniscal today as arthroscopy by two small incisions located on both sides of the patellar tendon, permettaaant tointroduce a video camera and miniaturized instruments dealing with the  articulation. 

FOLLOW-UPS

This intervention may take place in days of hospitalization (in   outpatient), or conventionally under anesthesia.

Nursing care are needed for 15 days.

Anticoagulant treatment is not systematic, it depends on the risk factors of the patient.

The support of the leg is allowed immediately with cane England, for about ten days. The work stoppage is four weeks.

We strongly advise rehabilitation, which should be started immediately, the day after the intervention. It lasts a month.

Postoperative monitoring is done in consultation   Tuesday or Friday morning a month, three months, six months and one year

Complications

There may be complications after surgery that may be within days or weeks after the intervention, failures and poor results, infection, stiffness, or healing problems.
